トランプ大統領「米国第一を実行」 就任演説
トランプ米新大統領は20日、就任式で約18分間演説し「『米国第一主義』を実行する」と述べ、米国民の利益を最優先に考えて外交や経済などの政策を決定すると強調した。
「意見を言うだけで行動を起こさない政治家にはもう容赦しない。中身のない対話の時代は終わり、行動を起こすときが来た」とも語り、政権運営への決意を表明した。
トランプ氏は「今回の政権交代はワシントンから皆さんに権力を移すものになる」と言明。「真に重要なのは、国民が政府を支配しているかどうかだ」と訴えた。
さらに自身の支持層で経済格差に苦しむ白人の中・低所得層を念頭に「あなたが無視されることは二度とない。米国の労働者と家族に恩恵をもたらす」と呼びかけた。

トランプ氏の就任演説は日本時間の金曜深夜、テレビでも生中継されていましたね。
演説内容が従来の大統領とは異なり、過激な抗議デモが起こるなどいろいろ物議をかもしているようですが、選挙で選ばれた以上、一度はこの人に任せてみるしかないのでは、と感じます。
トランプ支持派の人たちの期待値に新大統領が応えられるかどうか、まずは２年後ぐらいの状況を見てみたいです。
日米関係がこれからどう変わるのかにも注目ですね。
